Sacred RE-Union presented by Margaret Starbird is a specifically designed retreat offering an opportunity to deepen your relationship with The Beloved. Margaret Starbird’s presentation will include images of Mary Magdalene from fine art and discussion of their symbolic connection with the medieval heresy of the Holy Grail. This powerful retreat explores legends and mythology, art and poetry celebrating the Sophia incarnate in Mary Magdalene, the “Lost Bride” of the Christian mythology. One session focuses on the hidden codes in the canonical Scriptures that establish that Magdalene and Christ were the “Lord and Lady of the Fishes, the dawning age of Pisces. The retreat culminates in a celebration of the Sacred RE-union of the Archetypal Bride and Bridegroom at the heart of the Christian story.

I. “Mary Magdalene: The Greatest Story Never Told”
Was Jesus married? What ever happened to his “beloved complement”? How could we lose the Bride of the Christian mythology? Starbird’s lecture focuses on the Biblical stories of Jesus as the Sacred Bridegroom and of the woman who anointed him at the banquet at Bethany and met him resurrected in the garden on Easter morning, the woman the Christian Gospels call “the Magdalene.”
II a Dualism in Western Civilization/Gematria of the New Testament
Explanation of the Sophia and Logos principles and how they became distorted, how Jesus tried to “rescue” the Sophia, and the “gematria” of the New Testament that supports the “Sacred RE-union.”
II b. “Mary Magdalene’s Journey in Art and Legend”
This powerful session explores the legends and mythology of Mary Magdalene, focusing on fine art images of her as we tell her story. We will do an art-centered meditation and sharing of impressions.
III. Symbolism of the Grail Church
Medieval watermarks, unicorn tapestries and tarot trumps tell the story of the “hidden Church of Love” and the underground stream that kept the medieval Grail legends and the “great secret” of the Beloveds alive in spite of the ruthless Inquisition formed to suppress them.
IV. Celebrating Sacred RE-union
V. Sacred Reunion of the Archetypal Bride
This liturgical celebration includes music and meditation on images of the “Sacred RE-union” followed by an anointing ceremony commissioning emissaries of the “Beloveds.”
